What happens to the information you type — and why it matters on government work
The fastest way to understand artificial intelligence is to begin with what it is not. AI is not a brain. It is not conscious. It does not understand contracts, security requirements, or the sensitivity of the information you handle. It does not know whether its output is accurate.
Modern AI is a pattern-recognition and pattern-generation system trained on enormous amounts of text. When prompted, it produces statistically plausible text — which is not the same as correct, current, or authorized.
Key Mental Model:
AI is a pattern-matching system, not a thinking one. Confidence in AI output is not evidence of accuracy. A fluent, well-formatted answer about a requirement, a clause, or a technical fact can be entirely wrong.
An AI can produce a confident summary of a contract requirement or a regulatory clause and be wrong. Polish is not accuracy. On government work, acting on confidently wrong AI output can create contractual and security problems.
Modules 2 through 5, the final assessment, your certificate of completion, and quarterly AI update briefings are included with enrollment.
